What is the En'kara Fair

The En'Kara fair is one of the four great fairs which are held quarterly in the shadow of the Sardar Mountains. The Sardar Fairs are organized, regulated and administered by the Merchant Caste. There are many events held at fairs as well as many goods being bought, sold and traded. Merchant Law is largely established and codified at the great Sardar Fairs and attempts to introduce standardizations of coinage among major cities are made yet are often unsuccessful, much as the reform of chronology which is presented by the Scribes on a yearly basis. Peace measures between warring cities are often discussed at the Sardar Fairs. Every Gorean, male and female, is expected to see the Sardar Mountains in honor of the Priest Kings before they turn twenty five and traveling to one of the Sardar Fairs is when this is most often achieved.

What is the Road to the Fair?

The Road to the Fair is our opportunity to participate in roleplay scenarios which portray the hazardous circumstances surrounding traveling to one of the great Sardar Fairs. Due to the pilgrimage of many young Goreans before their twenty fifth year, this is a prime time for many outlaws, slavers and panthers to test their hand at capturing and enslaving travelers and then benefiting from their work by selling these newly enslaved at the fairs. This goes, also for merchant goods and other items which might be transported to the fair to be sold or traded.
